Zamek Kastelbell jest malowniczo położony na potężnej skale na lewym brzegu rzeki Adygi. Skała nie jest wysoka, ale opada tak stromo w kierunku doliny, że zamek wydaje się górować nad Val Venostą w Południowym Tyrolu.
