Welcome to Hotel Windschar **** in Gais

Surrounded by a 4,500 m2 garden and park area, our hotel is situated in Gais (836 m) close to Bruneck. Bruneck is the main city in the Pustertal Valley in the Dolomites. In every season of the year here there are numerous sport- and leisure experiences. We offer 74 rooms and suites with balcony. They offer every comfort with bathtub or shower, hair dryer, TV, Radio, telephone, safe. Other facilities: Restaurant, Bar, garden terrace, children's pool, library, recreation room, TV room, garages.

Facilities also include: restaurant, bar, garden terrace, library, fireplace corner, TV room, children's playroom, garage. Wellness enthusiasts will enjoy the 700 m² wellness area with indoor pool, whirlpool, Finnish sauna, herbal sauna, Turkish bath, solarium, outdoor pool heated by solar panels and children's pool. Among the treatments available in our spa: classic full and partial massages, massages with Ayurvedic oils, shiatsu, slimming, revitalising and hay baths.

Tennis, golf and more!

To keep active, our staff organises guided hikes and you can rent sledges and bicycles free of charge. Near our hotel there are tennis courts and a 9-hole golf course in Reischach. Our guests will be tempted by the rich breakfast buffet with organic corner, the afternoon buffet with soups, mixed salads, sandwiches and desserts, and of course by the dinner, with a 4-5 course menu to choose from and the best of Tyrolean and Mediterranean culinary specialities.

A mountain hotel located just steps from Brunico. Beautiful...large...warm...welcoming...there's a spa, an outdoor pool (heated), and a fantastic breakfast buffet! There's an afternoon aperitif...they're hospitable (despite those who say they're cold), and they're fully equipped with everything you need to help you forget about stress and the daily grind. All you have to do is decide whether to go on one of their daily excursions (you'd be a fool not to). What can I say? A rating of 8. By the way, the food in the evenings is excellent, and the rooms are clean.

A splendid property just steps from Brunico. The exterior gives no indication of what you discover as soon as you step inside: a warm, welcoming environment, meticulously maintained down to the smallest detail, where wood and traditional local furnishings immediately convey a pleasant feeling of home. The welcome is impeccable: elegance and professionalism combine with a sincere warmth that immediately makes you feel part of the family. The rooms are spacious, bright, and equipped with every comfort: parquet floors, spacious beds, ample closet space, and a full bathroom. At the entrance, a welcoming common area with tables and sofas invites you to spend pleasant, relaxing evenings. It's also perfect for families, thanks to a fully equipped kids' area for all ages (even a PS5!). Relaxation is the hotel's true strength: a splendid wellness area with indoor and outdoor pools, a large, well-kept garden, and a top-notch spa offering a wide range of services and treatments. The food is excellent: carefully prepared, well-balanced dishes rich in authentic local flavors. It's hard to think about dieting when faced with so much deliciousness! The staff is a true asset: discreet, attentive, and always ready to offer advice with a smile. Every detail makes you feel pampered. The only flaw? The stay always ends too soon... but with the certainty of wanting to return.

My partner, I, and our two dogs spent five fantastic days in this hotel with its typical South Tyrolean character. What can I say? Everything exceeded our expectations. The hotel is in a very convenient location, with many places to visit nearby, and Gais is a very pleasant village. There are many characteristic common areas and several dining rooms. The food was incredible: a king-size breakfast, snacks, and dinner were always excellent, with a wide selection, even at the buffet. A special mention goes to the wonderful themed evenings. The room we stayed in was spacious and functional. The spa was beautiful, it lacked nothing. The service was top-notch, from the reception to the restaurant, the bar, and the housekeeping staff, all very professional, helpful, and friendly, although the one who stole our hearts was Ella's sweetness. We can't wait to return!

️️️️️️️️️️️️️️ After a long time I'm back and I confirm it. I'm adding more stars because they're too few... Feeling at home from the first moment. Being welcomed as if they were waiting just for you. Rich, carefully prepared food in abundance at all hours. Served by very kind staff. The sauna and pool area are ideal after a nice walk in the mountains, especially on gloomy days. I just left and can't wait to go back.

We were thoroughly spoiled. Spacious rooms. Always helpful staff. Fantastic food. Dinner, breakfast, and even a generous and varied afternoon snack. Outdoor and indoor pools. Playrooms for children, and more. Much more, like a free bus and funicular ride (€35 return ticket). We were very satisfied and will definitely be back.
