The Hotel Mandelhof **** is located amidst orchards and vineyards, in a very quiet location on the edge of the famous wine-growing village of Girlan-Eppan on the Wine Route, yet close to the village. Our guests can enjoy a generous breakfast buffet, good food and wines from our own production. The atmosphere is rounded off by a choice of five-course menus, evening barbecues and cheerful company.

The Hotel Mandelhof offers 30 bright and comfortable rooms and suites, equipped with king-size beds, air conditioning, minibars, Wi-Fi and Smart TVs. Accommodation options range from comfort rooms to more spacious suites with views of the vineyards, balconies and seating areas. The wellness centre includes a Finnish sauna, steam bath, whirlpool, sensory showers and a relaxation room surrounded by a large garden. So, I absolutely cannot understand the negative reviews.
We were "only" there for a short trip over the long weekend (a public holiday in Germany) with our immediate family.

We had four separate rooms, each of which was very clean and tidy. We were all given a friendly and warm welcome. None of us can think of a single negative aspect; whether the wellness area is too small or just right is debatable. Yes, the pool isn't new and isn't perfectly clean. But it's off-season, and the weather and temperatures aren't exactly conducive to outdoor swimming.

The breakfast buffet offered the same selection every day, but it was very varied and plentiful.

Dinner, or rather, the five-course menu, was excellent. At breakfast and/or dinner, we were always asked by the junior manager if everything was okay. It's also worth mentioning that this man was the first in the hotel in the morning and the last to leave in the evening. He covered part of the service, worked at the reception, and was behind the bar. In the afternoons, during coffee and cake, he was also behind the bar or at the reception. Regardless of whether a hotel is family-run and regardless of its star rating, I think that says a lot about the establishment.

My grandmother has been coming to Mandelhof for over 40 years; it was an honor for her to show this beautiful part of the world to her children and grandchildren. And she more than succeeded. It was our first time there, but certainly not the last. Thank you for everything and the wonderful stay with you, dear Mauracher family.

Our expectations were far exceeded. The hotel is in a very good location and very nice. Shops, cafés, and restaurants are nearby. Plenty of parking is available. The rooms are very clean and very nice. The garden is well-maintained, and the pool is very clean and the water is pleasantly warm. It was inviting to swim.
Since the hotel is family-run, there was always someone available to answer any questions. This is what gives us the personal touch. The staff are very accommodating. The food more than met our expectations. A truly relaxing holiday.

Absolutely amazing! The grounds are gorgeous, the rooms are modern and beautiful, the views are stunning, and the food and service are top-notch. There is also a beautiful swimming pool.

This was our second time at the Mandelhof, and we regret to say that the Mandelhof has declined considerably since last year. Not only we, but also other hotel guests, were moved from our seats several times for dinner! The whole organization seemed very chaotic! The "junior manager" only greeted us when he wanted to and came across as very superficial. He only treated select hotel guests very politely, which was a no-go for us. Overall, I have to say that for this price, I expected a different level of service from a hotel; this was the case last year. The "senior manager" was also very superficial. The room and the food were great. The cleaning staff were very friendly and did a clean job. The waitress, whose first name was Thomas, was a disaster. He didn't even think it was necessary to pour the wine. Very arrogant and superficial. He had no control over his part and immediately became offended when confronted about it. Sara, Kristina, and Günter deserve great praise for their expertise. Without them, the hotel wouldn't function!!!
This was our last time staying at this hotel!

Beautiful hotel, great location, lovely garden with pool. Very friendly staff! We had half-board, the food was delicious, and we spent a wonderful few days.

A wonderful experience. We stopped at this property for a relaxing night on our way back from Munich to Rome. We were looking for a hotel with a spa and half board to rest and recharge for the trip. Every expectation was more than met by the beauty of the place and the skill of the staff. The wine cellar was beautiful, and the dinner was excellent!
We hope to return soon. :)
