Hotel Laurin*** is situated in a very quiet and sunny panoramic location in Algund nearby Meran, on about 340 metres above sea level. Surrounded by orchards and vineyards and with a wonderful view to the city Meran, the valleys Burggrafenamt and Etschtal and the impressive mountains of the Texel Group, it is the perfect accommodation for a relaxing holiday in the South Tyrolean nature. You can relax wonderfully with breakfast on the terrace, in the wellness area and on the large sunbathing lawn.

Our offers cosy rooms, which are equipped with balcony, shower/toilet, phone, radio, satellite TV, safe, desk and couch or armchair. We provide you also a snug bathrobe and towels for the sauna and our wellness area. Here you can enjoy the warmth of the Finnish sauna, the infrared cabin, the herbal steam bath and the panoramic indoor pool. Relaxation you will find in our Kneipp grotto or in the quiet room.

Hiking, biking and more

Directly from our house you can start many hikes or leisurely walks like the Waalweg of Algund, the high alpine route of Meran and the famous Tappeiner path. The village centre of Algund is only a few minutes away and the spa town Meran is easily reachable by bus. The surroundings of Hotel Laurin offer also countless possibilities for cyclists and mountain bikers.

I give this hotel a top rating because of the price point for what you get. We only wanted a cheap one night stay as we passed through town to visit the Forst brewery. For the price the room was comfortable, the service and breakfast were fine. Reviews I read below regarding cats - that was not the case during our visit. Great visit

We stayed with our children and friends for a weekend. The hotel is in Lagundo, so it's very close to Merano. Check-in is from 2:00 PM, but if you arrive earlier, be aware that they won't let you in. Our room was very large, modern, and spacious, with a nice, large bathroom. Unfortunately, there's no bidet, and there's only hand soap in the shower. Our friends' room was older. We had some issues with breakfast, because despite letting them know by email and phone that my son has celiac disease, only two slices of bread arrived at the table, nothing else. Our breakfast was plentiful, but halfway through, the croissants ran out. In my humble opinion, it doesn't take much to make a big difference.

I stayed there for four nights on my motorcycle. Everything was perfect, from the reception to the room to the extensive breakfast buffet. There's a refrigerator with drinks at the reception. And from the terrace, you have a beautiful view of Merano and the Etsch Valley. There's an underground garage available for motorcycles. All in all, a great hotel.
