Hotel Gschwangut**** is located in Lana, surrounded by orchards and a Mediterranean garden, nearby the popular spa town Meran. The well-tended hotel is the perfect place for relaxing holidays in Meran and environs. Gourmets don't miss out at the Hotel Gschwangut in Lana either: the delicious breakfast in the morning ensures a good start to the day, and in the evening our guests enjoy 5-course menus of choice with Italian delicacies and South Tyrolean specialities, perfectly complemented by wines from our wine cellar. 

Feel-good ambience with wellness

Our comfortable rooms and suites in the main building and the holiday apartments in the outbuilding are furnished cosily and equipped with every comfort. The two buildings are connected by the wellness area with indoor pool, Biosauna, steam bath, ice fountain, relaxation room and solarium. The beauty area offers a rich programme with various pleasant treatments and massages.

Active holiday with garden paradise

The wonderful garden provides a lawn for sunbathing, an outdoor pool and a playground for our little guests. The surroundings of Lana provide numerous sporting and cultural activities all the year round. The hotel offers an own tennis court. You can find a golf course in the neighbourhood. The beautiful landscape invites to hikes, mountain bike or bicycle tours.

We spent a week at the Gschangut and felt very comfortable. The service staff was very friendly and attentive, the room was new, very clean, and spacious. We stayed in the Sky Room and had the panoramic sauna just a few meters away – simply wonderful. It's a great starting point for hikes and excursions in the region. After hiking on the irrigation channels (Waalwege) above Merano and Lana, we enjoyed the varied four-course dinners in the evenings. With the free South Tyrol Ticket, we were able to travel to Merano and Bolzano. Truly wonderful days in South Tyrol, and we would love to come back.

The cuisine, featuring high-quality and refined dishes, is a true highlight, as is the new wellness area on the third floor. The very spacious suite is modernly furnished and comfortable. Many thoughtful touches, such as magazines and a well-stocked bar, make the stay very pleasant.

As a family of four, we have stayed here several times, both in summer and fall. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed half-board with a rich breakfast buffet and a multi-course dinner on each stay. In the evenings, there are always several options per course to choose from, and children can opt for alternatives. Our apartment was very clean and, with a good layout, offered plenty of space for our family. The hotel offers a pool in the garden, an indoor pool, saunas, a tennis court, and a fitness room, providing ample options for spending the day.

We stayed at the Hotel Gschwandgut for the second time and had a newly renovated junior suite on the first floor with a wonderful view of the tropical garden. The room was beautifully furnished, with plenty of storage space. A comfortable bed, a pillow selection (very important to me!). The bathroom had enough space for all sorts of things a man/woman might need; a large, comfortable shower, toilet and bidet, and a well-functioning hairdryer. The highlight of this room: the window seat. Regarding the breakfast buffet, we can only say: everything that makes a very good breakfast. Warm egg dishes are freshly prepared. Dinner is a delight with several courses. The excellent wine selection perfectly complements the dinner. Very friendly and well-trained staff. A last-minute booking was handled without any complications; thank you again for that.

Great hotel, top value for money! Super nice bartender. Everyone was generally very friendly. Modern, generously equipped rooms in a very central location in Lana. Close to the golf course with very interesting golf options. We'll always be happy to come back. Best regards, Michael :-)

A beautiful hotel, surrounded by greenery, not far from the center of Lana. The outdoor pool and wellness center (hot tub, gym, sauna, and indoor pool) are enchanting. The reception and dining room staff are very friendly, professional, helpful, and, above all, always smiling. Highly recommended!
