St. Johann in Ahrntal is a typical small and rural village. In the town centre, there is a picturesque church and the environs are characterised by green meadows and mighty mountains reaching almost all a height of 3,000 m. Everywhere you can feel the love for nature and tradition – just as in our Alpine Life Hotel Anabel***S.

Cosy rooms & the best from North and South

The hotel has a notably pleasant and familiar atmosphere, the rooms are light-flooded and offer great views to the mountain scenery all around. Modern design meets Alpine flair: All rooms are furnished with natural materials. Also, they can be accessed with no boundaries and via elevator, and they offer free WLAN, flat TV, safe, writing desk, telephone, partially a balcony, bathroom with shower and hairdryer. In the morning, you will start your day right with our rich breakfast buffet with regional products. In the afternoon, you can enjoy homemade cakes and at dinner, we serve a 3-course menu of your choice with regional Mediterranean dishes. Special theme evenings complete the culinary offer.

Well-being & active holidays

For your regeneration, we offer a wellness area with heated outdoor pool (in the summer months), various saunas and much more. Kids will look forward to the playroom with table tennis, table soccer and many other game possibilities. Experiences in nature are of high importance in the surroundings of the Alpine Life Hotel Anabel in St. Johann in Ahrntal. Here, everyone is spoilt for choice, with challenging glacier tours, cosy hikes to mountain huts, canyoning, mountain biking and many other activities in the magnificent natural landscape of Ahrntal Valley. In winter, the Skiworld Ahrntal offers perfectly prepared slops, cross-country ski runs, ski tours and snowshoeing tours.

I stayed here for three nights in early October with my wife, and it was a fantastic experience, at a more than fair price. The location is stunning and picturesque, and the hotel is truly beautiful. We were immediately struck by the modern yet warm and welcoming decor, and found the room to be a wonderful space: large, comfortable, and well-appointed. The meals were beautifully presented and simply amazing, including the wide selection and attention to food intolerances (for the first time in my life, even at breakfast!). The bar service was also excellent, with a wide selection of high-quality dishes. The wellness area was much appreciated, although a bit small. The staff was warm, kind, and extremely helpful, ready to answer any questions, including those regarding the surrounding area. The location allows for both a peaceful rest, immersed in the greenery of the valley directly on the stream, and access to numerous trails and paths, without being far from the amenities of the neighboring towns. We will definitely return, and we recommend a visit to everyone!

I stayed at the Hotel Anabel and can only give an extremely positive review. The property is beautiful, welcoming, and above all impeccably clean. The food is truly excellent, with attention to detail and consistently high quality. The owners are delightful: kind, helpful, and yet discreet, qualities that make the stay even more enjoyable. The staff also stands out for their courtesy and attentiveness to guests. The location is ideal for hiking enthusiasts, being halfway up the valley, allowing for easy access to many destinations. I will definitely return to the Aurina Valley, which is simply stunning, and I will definitely choose the Hotel Anabel again. Highly recommended!

Hotel in a quiet location between San Giovanni and Cadipietra. It's a three-star hotel, but it certainly deserves more. Family-run, attentive to guests' needs. Highlights include the outdoor pool, spa area, and bicycles (both regular and electric). Spectacular breakfasts with an endless sweet and savory buffet and a variety of freshly baked cakes (it's hard to imagine what more there could be). A very refined dinner with a choice of three first courses and three second courses, plus the usual vegetable and appetizer buffet. At 3:00 PM, upon returning from excursions, a still-warm cake baked by Rosalinda awaits you. The rooms are impeccably clean. In short, everything was perfect. We hope it continues like this!

Friendly and helpful staff. The food was excellent, and the rooms even had valley views. The location is excellent, with a bus stop nearby, so you can get around easily with the pass you'll be given upon arrival. I highly recommend it.

Such a great place to spend time with kids, with two kid-friendly areas (Speikboden & Klausberg) nearby, Lovely hikes at the end of the valey, Challenging ones on the other side of the road (Schwarzensteinhuette) ... And a super friendly, welcoming staff.

For kids, the swimming pool is amazing. It's heated so even an option during bad weather (well, not thunderstorms).

The hotel is in a great location for exploring the Aurina Valley. The room and bathroom are spacious and clean. Bathrobes come with a room number pin so you don't get confused with other guests using the pool and wellness area. The food is good and the service is attentive.
The staff is friendly...we'll be back!
