Our Hotel Appartements Gurnatsch is located in a quiet and sunny position in the picturesque village Vals, nearby Mühlbach and the valleys Eisacktal and Pustertal. Our family-run house is situated only a few steps from the lifts of the skiing and hiking area Gitschberg Jochtal (on 1,350 metres above sea level) away.

Cosy rooms & apartments

We offer cosy rooms and family suites with modern comfort, bathroom with shower and WC, balcony, telephone, safe, satellite TV and Wi-Fi. Furthermore, the Hotel Appartements Gurnatsch provides also 50 square metres big holiday flats for 2-5 persons. They consist of a living room with kitchen and TV, a bedroom, a balcony and a bathroom with shower, WC and hairdryer. The guests of our hotel will enjoy a rich breakfast buffet, delicious dishes, a cordial service and a buffet with fresh salads every day. Our hotel also offers a sunny terrace with Ping-Pong table, a children’s playground with swing and trampoline, a house bar, a lounge as well as a car park and a garage. Guests, who arrive by train, we will collect by bus from the train station in Franzensfeste.

Akitve holidays in the skiing & hiking area

The family friendly skiing and hiking area Gitschberg Jochtal offers fantastic slopes and numerous possibilities for other winter sports in the cold season. In summer, the wonderful landscape changes into a paradise for hikers and mountain bikers. Our guests get the Almencard for free. With this guest card, you can use the lifts of the area for free and attend an interesting activity programme for kids and adults.

I rented a beautiful apartment. The rooms were spacious and comfortable.
We stayed in August with a dog.
We had a wonderful time and had everything we needed.
The welcome was discreet and not at all intrusive.

Excellent family-run hotel, very clean, excellent food. We stayed there for the Christmas holidays and I think we'll return sometime in the summer.

A pleasant holiday, thanks in part to this hotel in the heart of Valles. The only flaw was the lack of a bidet in our bathroom, and I'm not sure if that's a coincidence or the "rule" of the entire hotel. Otherwise, only praise for everything.

We had a wonderful time.
The owners were very kind.
The aparthotel is located a 15-minute walk from the soccer field where Bologna FC is training for the second year.
The climate is fantastic, with highs of 25 degrees Celsius.
The breakfast is well-stocked and delicious, with fresh ingredients. For those who want to start the day off right, the hostess will prepare eggs to order (boiled, poached, scrambled, or with speck).
Furthermore, you can quickly reach places like Bressanone, Brunico, Terento, Maranza, and many others.
I highly recommend booking the ticket online to visit Lake Braies (€40, very well spent).

I've been coming to this hotel for many years now.
Excellent hospitality, kindness;
Excellent food with a rich buffet;
Impeccable cleanliness;
Beautiful, bright rooms with balconies;
In winter, the hotel is close to the ski slopes.
In summer, the valley is surrounded by green woods.
Even without a car, you can get around easily, thanks to the Almencard, the card that allows free use of public transportation, cable cars, and museum visits.
The Puster Valley train takes you easily to the magnificent lakes of the valley:
Lake Anterselva, Lake Dobbiaco, and Lake Braies.
Then San Candido, Lienz, and Austria.
A few kilometers away is Vipiteno with its magnificent historic center, Brunico, and Bressanone.
I highly recommend the hotel and the Puster Valley.

The guesthouse is somewhat secluded in the small, tranquil town of Vals. Quiet, without much through traffic. I had a really nice double room with a large balcony for single occupancy and there was no extra charge, so thank you in advance. The room was always clean and tidy. The closet was huge and perfectly adequate for two people. The safe unfortunately wouldn't open (but I didn't need it anyway). Apart from two channels, there were no German TV programs available for evening viewing. Breakfast is simple but lovingly prepared. I would have preferred separate sausage and cheese plates, but that's a real complaint; the rest, like jam and butter, came from pre-packaged items. There was a selection of white rolls and bread. Egg dishes were freshly prepared, and various types of coffee were available. Perfectly fine for a guesthouse. Dinner was excellent; notes with suggestions were always left out in the morning. Bolzano and Merano are also a good hour's drive away, and Lake Braies, Fanes, Senes, and Braies can be reached within 30 minutes. I highly recommend this guesthouse. A beautiful place to vacation

A gem. I couldn't give it 5 stars only for two small details: no bidet in the room (some have one), and nothing about the buffets (breakfast and vegetables) made me say "wow." Otherwise, it has everything: courtesy, cleanliness, location. I should also add that it's decidedly affordable compared to the competition in the area. If you're looking for a quiet place, this is the best. And I'm talking about August.
