A beautiful place with very courteous and friendly staff. It's a shame about the screaming children who roam everywhere, unsupervised by their incompetent and rude parents who have no respect for others. The spa and relaxation area is beautiful, with three pools, none of which are dedicated to relaxation or those seeking peace. The children are wild everywhere. I wouldn't recommend it for a relaxing break.

Location of the hotel

We spent a wonderful family vacation at the Hotel Fameli in mid-October 2025. We received a warm and friendly welcome right from check-in. Room: Clean, very spacious, and equipped with a whirlpool tub and modern bathroom. Service: Friendly and accommodating. The staff were especially great with the children. Food: Excellent breakfast buffet with a wide selection – there's truly something for everyone. For lunch, the kids had pasta or gnocchi – with a choice of pesto, Bolognese sauce, tomato sauce, or plain. In the afternoon, there was a snack with usually two different soups, fruit baskets, various cakes, and apple strudel. Top! The 4-course dinner menu was also excellent. There were three menus to choose from every evening: Mediterranean, South Tyrolean, and vegetarian, with individual courses available for individual combinations. There was also a salad and antipasti buffet. There was also a special 3-course dinner for children, but you could also simply order pasta or homemade gnocchi if the kids were more in the mood. The quality and taste were very good! Wellness: There were 3 pools in total, as well as a lovely sauna/wellness area for ages 16 and up, with a steam bath and two saunas – absolutely sufficient for us. One thing to keep in mind, though: There are, of course, many young and old bathers in the pool area, splashing around, singing, squealing, and laughing – anyone looking for (wellness) peace and quiet should be aware of that. Our daughter and we really enjoyed it, though. Other: Bicycles (including child seats) and a variety of strollers were available to rent free of charge and with no hassle. E-bikes are available for €25 per day. Great. A beautiful garden with various play equipment (including balance bikes, a teen corner with a ping-pong table, foosball, and seating), as well as the separate balance bike and tricycle area, were also a big hit with our little one. Although our daughter didn't visit the kids' club because we were busy ourselves, we were still able to meet some of the really nice childminders. The hotel offers a huge amount of activities, especially for children. There's a weekly program with various activities (pizza baking, crafts, rock painting, etc.) and sometimes even trips to farms, playgrounds, and much more. In the evenings, for example, there was a campfire with music and stick bread baking. Lunch and dinner are also available for the children at the kids' club. There are also several playgrounds within walking distance (the free children's area on the outskirts of Olang was especially great!). Conclusion: A clear recommendation for a wonderful family vacation!

We stayed at the Fameli Hotel at the end of September and, thanks to particularly favorable weather, we had a fantastic week. The spacious, clean, and quiet room, the common areas, the three swimming pools, one of which is pleasantly heated outdoors, and the large furnished garden are just some of the hotel's highlights. The rich and varied breakfast in the morning was always a pleasant start to the day, as was the delicious gourmet dinner in the evening, an excellent conclusion. The exquisite pastries for afternoon tea were a real treat. The staff at reception, in the breakfast rooms, and in the restaurant were always friendly and helpful; the hotel offers a variety of services, including the wellness and spa area, excursions, and bicycles for relaxing rides in the surrounding areas. A special mention, for a hotel dedicated to family vacations, goes to the Kids' Area, both for the games, indoor and outdoor entertainment, and the varied options offered to younger guests, including special menus for them to enjoy together, as well as for the friendly, knowledgeable, and dedicated staff. A sincere thank you to the Gasser family and all their staff; when we returned home, we left a piece of our hearts in Valdaora.

Ideal facility for children, excellent food, very friendly staff. We are already thinking of returning during warmer weather so we can make the most of the outdoor spaces.
