On the sunny side of the Ultental, at an altitude of 1,450 m, surrounded by peace and nature, lies the Kalchgruber farmstead, which also includes about three hectares of meadows and five hectares of forest. From our house you can enjoy a wonderful view of the surroundings and the mountains of the Ultental. A holiday on our farm will be a unique and unforgettable experience for your family. If you like farm life, you will love our farm! Our cows are milked twice a day and their milk is processed into excellent cheese and yoghurt at the dairy in Meran. In addition to the cattle, we also raise pigs and chickens, which provide us with fresh eggs for our guests every day, and our garden is inhabited by our dog, our cats and our rabbits, who love to be pampered all day long.

Our two holiday apartments, Alpenrose and Enzian offer plenty of space and make you feel at home. Both are about 80 m² in size, have 2 bedrooms, kitchen-living room, living room, bathroom, hallway, SAT-TV and free WLAN, one or two balconies and a terrace. The furniture, wall elements and wooden ceiling in the bedrooms are made of local solid wood from Swiss pine and spruce. The parquet floors and a wood-burning stove in the kitchen create a cosy atmosphere and give a romantic touch. In the morning, you get our breakfast baskets with homemade products from 7:30 to 9:30 am. If desired, we can also put together lunch packages with farm-fresh, seasonal products.

If you love outdoor life, hiking and sporting activities, then our farm is just the right place for you: numerous hiking and cycling trails start from here, the village centre of St. Walburg is only 4 km away from us and the Schwemmalm skiing and hiking area is only 4.5 km away. In winter, you will also find a ski school for the little ones, a cross-country ski trail, a toboggan run and an ice-skating rink in the immediate vicinity. Since nature is very close to our hearts, we are very concerned about sustainability: the apartments are heated with our wood chip heating system. The wood for heating comes from our forest or from other farmers in the valley and the sun gives us additional energy, thanks to our solar system. Our drinking water comes from our own spring, which is located at 1,780 m above sea level.
