Hotel Tirolerhof

Very nice lobby, rooms a little dated but everything very clean. Very friendly staff. The wellness area is adequate for a short trip. Breakfast is okay, but there's no kitchen during the day.

The expansion with the upper panoramic sauna and sunbathing area with whirlpool is fantastic. Furthermore, the expansion with the other hotel in Hohenbichl leaves nothing to be desired.

After a 10-hour drive, I would at least expect a WARM WELCOME at reception. How was your arrival? As you know, you can expect a lot... No warm welcome, just a quick check-in without any information about the hotel or the surrounding area. The only thing we were told was that breakfast was served from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and dinner at 7:00 p.m., on the first floor. Everything else we had to figure out ourselves. (Where is the elevator, where are the saunas, when are they open, etc.) Speaking of the sauna... why the nicer sauna on the fourth floor is only open Thursdays and Saturdays is beyond us. Nor why people on the ground floor had to wear swimwear to use the sauna... (again: NO INFORMATION at reception) The service staff in the dining room, on the other hand, was very friendly and always attentive. There's nothing to complain about there. Regarding the dining room itself, I have the following comment (please also share it with hotel management): The lighting is a bit reminiscent of a retirement/nursing home. A bit more dimmed lighting would be more appropriate here. The dishes, especially the plates, urgently need to be replaced! A lot of chipped porcelain, the plate surfaces very worn, making them look dirty. Streaks of grease or dish soap...(?!) Even though we really liked our room, we wouldn't book it again due to the aforementioned defects. PS: When paying the bill the evening before departure, as well as when handing over the room keys on the day of departure, we were neither asked if everything was to our satisfaction nor were we wished a safe journey home. THAT, for me, is part of it, too. I'm not a hotel critic or anything like that, but I know that certain things are standard and also serve as a hotel's flagship. There's definitely room for improvement here!

So, we're here right now. Not a warm welcome. No information about what we could do. We were given a room card, told where the pool was, and that was it. When we opened the window, flies immediately flooded the room. No air conditioning; it was 28 degrees Celsius in the room. There was only one whirlpool, or rather, it was turned on. Far too little. No chance to use it. You could hear showers from other rooms in the room, as the water rushed down the drain very loudly. What was very positive: The dinner was amazing, they accommodated all special requests, and the restaurant staff were very friendly. What wasn't so great was that it wasn't served until 7 p.m. It dragged on until at least 9 p.m. There were virtually no places to sit afterward, as people were already sitting outside on the terrace next to the restaurant, eating their dessert. 7 p.m. is simply too late for small children.

Excellent hotel, great price, location, food, and staff. Thanks to Daniela and Manuel, who were always ready to meet our needs...see you next year.

Not again. Parking spaces were a disgrace. None available except for one door that said "Keep your distance. Opening." We asked them not to open it, emphasizing that it would be expensive for them (motorcycles). The service staff didn't care; others were simply blocked in. The food was mediocre. The salad buffet was very good, but the dishes were set and couldn't be changed; I personally only enjoyed some of them. Despite half board, no drinks were included. The pool was too cold, the sauna wasn't open, and everything else was closed or unusable. The pool directly overlooked the parking lot; as a woman, I felt very uncomfortable, as I felt like I was sitting on display in the evening. The room was very nice.

We booked the beautiful suite. We were allowed to use the bus parking lot for our trailer and motorcycles. Dinner was always very good; sometimes it took a while to order drinks, but on vacation, you have time. Unfortunately, there isn't a nice terrace in front of the house due to limited space. The roof terrace with the whirlpool was very poorly maintained, with no plants and not very clean. For a 3-star hotel, the price and performance were absolutely fine.

Please install fly screens on the windows in your room. It was very hot in the room, and when we aired it out, we quickly had 5-10 flies in the room. Otherwise, very good value for money and friendly evening service. Whether it makes sense to set dinner at 7 p.m., which creates a line for the elevator, is questionable, but it's probably not feasible in the small kitchen.

The hotel has a great location, and many excursion destinations are within easy reach. In the immediate vicinity, there is a nice mini golf course and a great playground for children. The rooms were okay. We had a distinctly unpleasant odor in the room, which improved or disappeared after flushing the plumbing several times. The terrace was uninviting. Overall, the room was okay and clean. I can't recommend the half-board option. The food is good, but it doesn't start until 7 p.m. and the courses are served with a lot of interruptions. We weren't finished before 8:45 p.m. This is especially annoying with younger children. Our waitress wasn't exactly attentive.

Beautiful, very clean rooms, the extremely friendly staff, and the excellent dinner and very generous breakfast buffet…for us, the perfect place for a few wonderful days. Thank you so much️
