Welcome to Hotel Elisabeth in Meran

Hotel Elisabeth is located in a wonderfully peaceful setting, with views of Tyrol Castle and close to the Texel Group Nature Park. Our family has been running the hotel for three generations, focusing on a relaxed, feel-good atmosphere and culinary delights for connoisseurs. Just 2 km from the centre of Meran and 500 m from the Tappeiner Trail, the hotel is perfect for anyone who wants to discover nature and culture, the city and the mountains.

Relaxing Hideaway & excellent Cuisine

All of our comfortable rooms feature a balcony with a view, and some have been newly redesigned. Hotel Elisabeth also offers several barrier-free rooms and a wheelchair-accessible lift. As part of our half-board package, we spoil our guests with a varied breakfast buffet in the morning and a 4-course menu of their choice in the evening. When the weather is nice, our panoramic terrace invites you to enjoy and relax. As a green oasis, we have a sunbathing lawn with a solar-heated swimming pool and whirlpool.

Experiences from thermal baths to bike tours

There is a bus stop just 200 metres from Hotel Elisabeth, and active holidaymakers will find a beautiful selection of hiking trails in the surrounding area – from the Algund Waalweg canal trail to the Meran High Mountain Trail. A very nice family-run hotel with excellent cuisine and very friendly and helpful staff. All rooms have balconies and fantastic panoramic views. Ideally located, making it easy to explore Merano and its surroundings on foot or by bus. Bernadette's sparkling drinks are unbeatable. 100% recommended!

We stayed here with a group of 27 people for three days. We enjoyed generous aperitifs with good white wine every day, as well as plenty of good wine at dinner.
When dessert was served (around 10 p.m.) and asked for coffee, we were told there was no more coffee because the coffee machine had already been cleaned!
Because part of our group had a vehicle breakdown and arrived 15 minutes late for dinner, the manager and her junior manager refused to postpone dinner by 15 minutes, even though we had informed the manager well in advance that part of the group would be a bit late. Only after intensive urging were we finally allowed to postpone dinner.
Although the main organizer of the group was unable to participate in the trip due to health reasons, his wife had to pay for the entire meal (breakfast and dinner).
When we left the hotel on the third day, no one from the management or owner felt it necessary to see us off in front of the hotel (as is customary in other hotels).
On a positive note, the staff was very friendly. The senior manager and her partner, as well as the junior manager, could learn a thing or two from the service staff.
The breakfast buffet and the appetizer buffet in the evening are also worth mentioning.

Very friendly and accommodating staff (including the manager). Due to the river, the hotel has a slightly musty smell, but I would still recommend it. The rooms were very clean, but I can't comment on the food and beverage offerings. We were passing through on business and spontaneously found accommodation here at short notice.

We stayed at the hotel for a week in July 2025. We were very impressed with the service. Everyone was kind, friendly, and helpful. There was a generous breakfast buffet with fresh fruit. In the evening, we were treated to a five-course meal that couldn't have been bettered in any top-class restaurant. We were thrilled.

A wonderfully located hotel. Ideal for reaching the surrounding attractions on foot or by bus. The day begins with a very good breakfast buffet and a delicious three-course meal every evening, where the chef caters to even vegan requests. Before dinner, you can relax in the swimming pool and the beautiful garden, and after dinner, you can enjoy a cool drink on the terrace. The entire hotel team is very accommodating. I felt very comfortable during my week and would gladly return.
