Touriseum Merano
Jest to pierwsze tego typu muzeum w regionie alpejskim i znajduje się w środku wspaniałego ogrodu botanicznego, który nosi tę samą nazwę co zamek. Samo Touriseum zajmuje się wyłącznie historią turystyki w Południowym Tyrolu.
W dawnej rezydencji wakacyjnej cesarzowej Elżbiety (1870 i 1889), 200 lat historii turystyki Południowego Tyrolu jest opowiedziane z perspektywy podróżników i gospodarzy. Zasadniczo poruszane są 3 tematy:
- Jak Południowy Tyrol stał się celem turystycznym?
- Południowy Tyrol z punktu widzenia podróżników i odwiedzających
- Turystyka jako branża
Te 3 podstawowe tematy są prezentowane w żywej wycieczce. Zwiedzanie rozpoczyna się w 1750 r., kiedy Alpy były miejscem terroru, przenosi się do 1890 r., kiedy szczególnie Merano przeżyło swój szczyt jako miasto uzdrowiskowe, dowiaduje się, jak wojna przeniosła się do wakacyjnego raju w 1914 r. i podróżuje przez lata "cudu gospodarczego" do dnia dzisiejszego, kiedy Południowy Tyrol jest obecnie znany na całym świecie jako "marka".
Po zwiedzeniu muzeum, "salon" na 2. piętrze zaprasza odwiedzających do czytania i odpoczynku. W wieży dowcipów można bawić się karykaturami i dowcipami na temat turystyki w Południowym Tyrolu lub uzyskać więcej informacji na temat faktów historycznych, różnych statystyk itp. na stacji PC. Przy wyjściu przyciąga wzrok największa na świecie turystyczna maszyna do pinballa. Wystawa kończy się symboliczną wycieczką po Południowym Tyrolu.
