Zamek Juval
Reinhold Messner, słynny południowotyrolski alpinista ekstremalny, pisarz i założyciel muzeum, obudził zamek Juval ze snu. Odnowił zamek, uczynił go swoją letnią rezydencją i przekształcił jego część w muzeum.
Zamek Juval znajduje się w gminie Castelbello-Ciardes nad wąskim wąwozem Val Senales/Schnalstal w pobliżu Naturno. Po raz pierwszy został wspomniany w dokumencie z 1278 roku i został przekształcony ze średniowiecznej fortyfikacji w renesansowy zamek w XVI wieku. Po II wojnie światowej zamek w Val Venosta został pozostawiony samemu sobie i zaczął popadać w ruinę.
Muzeum Górskie Messnera Juval
W 1983 roku Reinhold Messner nabył zamek Juval i połączył średniowieczne mury z nowoczesną architekturą i wpływami z odległych krain. Jedna część zamku stała się prywatną rezydencją, a druga jedną z kilku południowych lokalizacji projektu Messner Mountain Museum.
Muzeum poświęcone jest mitowi góry. Odwiedzający MMM Juval mogą obejrzeć kolekcję tybetańską, bibliotekę przygód, kolekcję masek z 5 kontynentów oraz galerię obrazów świętych gór świata. Warto również zobaczyć renesansowe freski. Na wzgórzu zamkowym znajduje się również mały park zwierząt górskich, gospoda Schlosswirt z własnymi produktami rolnymi, winiarnia Unterortl z doskonałymi winami oraz sklep rolniczy Venosta Valley u podnóża wzgórza.
