Carnival: Zusselrennen in Prad

During carnival, in South Tyrol you can find special events which go back to old traditions. One of them is the Zussl parade in Prad am Stilfserjoch in Vinschgau.
Fun, humorous entertainment and festive atmosphere are the ingredients of this special event. On 8th February 2024, the streets of Prad am Stilfserjoch will be populated by boys and men who are dressed in white from the foot to the head and decorated with colourful bows.
Some of these so called “Zussl” have to carry cow bells, which can weigh even 20 kg. The happy companions of the Zussl parade walk through the streets and make big noise to drive out the bad ghosts and the coldness of the winter.
