When do the apple trees come into blossom? What do we have to know about fruit growing? Which types of apples are cultivated in Meran and environs? If you want to learn more, we recommend you to visit the Apple Trail in Algund!
From mid-April to the end of May 2026, once a week, some farmers from Algund offer guided tours through the local orchards. In the course of the walk they pass on their specialist knowledge to the participants and present interesting facts about apple growing in South Tyrol – including history, different sorts and the marketing of this healthy and tasty fruit.
The pleasant and at the same time instructive tour starts at 2:30 pm in front of the tourist office Algund, which is also responsible for the registration until 4 pm the day before.
Our recommendation: Visit the Apple Trail in early springtime, when the trees in Meran and environs are in full bloom!
