Welcome to the Residence Geigerhof in Welschnofen

The Residence Geigerhof is quietly situated on the edge of Welschnofen in the middle of a dreamlike mountain landscape at 1,530 m above sea level. The house made of larch wood offers 5 cosy and spacious apartments with balcony as well as a large sunny terrace and a wellness oasis. A warm hostess with herbal knowledge, the picturesque chapel next to the house and the spectacular view of Rosengarten and Latemar make the Geigerhof a charming and relaxing retreat in the Dolomites.

Cosy apartments & relaxing wellness

The apartemnts are cosily furnished with lots of wood and comfortably equipped. They offer space for 2 to 6 people and all of them have a balcony. For a small surcharge, guests of the Residence Geigerhof can use the wellness oasis with Finnish sauna, bio sauna, whirlpool, heat bench and fresh air corner. A varied breakfast is available on request. The lift in the house and the laundry room, which can be used for a small fee, are practical as well.

Enjoyable stay in the Dolomites

The mountain world around Welschnofen in the Eggental offers perfect conditions for a varied and natural holiday between alpine pastures, forests and Dolomite peaks. One highlight is the famous Karersee lake, but there are also plenty of other worthwhile destinations for hikers, mountain bikers and climbers. In winter, the Carezza ski area offers slopes, toboggan runs and a snow park. Snowshoe hikers, cross-country skiers and ski tourers also get their money's worth in the snow-covered mountain landscape around the Residence Geigerhof.

Stunning farmhouse with a fantastic view of the Latemar. Nestled among meadows and woods, far from the hustle and bustle. Frau Gerda is incredibly kind. An enchanting place!

Excellent location, away from all the noise and traffic. Beautiful and meticulously maintained apartment, complete with every amenity. The owner is always available and courteous.

For mountain lovers, this is the ideal place to spend a week or more, both summer and winter. Wake up every morning with the Latemar mountain range in front of you, set off on a hike right there, and then easily walk back to the magical Lake Carezza or Obereggen, with its numerous mountain huts and the incredible Torri di Pisa refuge. After years of vacationing in the Dolomites, I believe this is the most incredible place of all. Kudos to Gerda for the passion with which she manages the residence and her kindness!

A lovingly family-run accommodation, away from the hustle and bustle of tourism. The location is unparalleled. The panoramic view of the Latemar and Rosengarten mountains from the Geigerhof is fantastic. The accommodation offers everything you need. The breakfast is lovingly prepared with many homemade products.
Gerda, the owner, is always there and offers advice and tips for hikes and excursions in the surrounding area. You immediately feel warmly welcomed. There are excellent hikes directly from the house.
We can and will recommend the Geigerhof with a clear conscience, and this certainly won't be the last time we stay there.

Comfortable and spacious apartments in a unique panoramic setting, offering plenty of space for large families or groups of friends. The owner is very friendly. They also welcome dogs. In the winter, you're immersed in pure white snow and can see deer grazing in the evenings. In the summer, it becomes a hub for hikes of all levels. A small plus for astronomy enthusiasts: this is a highly recommended location, well-sheltered from city lights and offering views of a sky that almost reaches Bortle 2.

We've been coming to Gerda's guesthouse, nestled in the heart of nature, for many years. If you're looking for peace and relaxation, this is the place for you. The spacious, well-equipped apartments have everything you need (including the kitchen). The sauna is heated upon request. The breakfast, featuring homemade rolls and bread, is not to be missed.
