Wycieczka do zamku Trostburg
Został zbudowany w XII wieku, rozbudowany i przebudowany w epoce renesansu, a obecnie jest zamkiem mieszkalnym o charakterze twierdzy, należącym od 1967 roku do Południowego Instytutu Zamków w Tyrolu. Trostburg wznosi się imponująco prawie 200 m nad brzegiem rzeki Isarco i nawet dziś wydaje się czuwać nad Valle Isarco ze swoją ufortyfikowaną fasadą.
Idylliczny i dziewiczy zamek symbolizuje napięcie między ochroną obronną a reprezentacyjną domową atmosferą. Dziś mieści się w nim wystawa około 80 unikalnych modeli zamków Południowego Tyrolu spod ręki Ludwiga Mitterdorfera (1885-1963).
Wskazówki dojazdu:
Do zamku można dotrzeć pieszo: średniowieczną ścieżką (ok. 15. min.) z wioski Ponte Gardena lub wygodnym szlakiem pieszym (ok. 25 min.) z cmentarza, poniżej tunelu do Val Gardena.
