Zamek Velthurns w miejscowości Velturno
Perłą wśród zabytków Południowego Tyrolu jest zamek Velthurns w Velturno. Dzięki oryginalnym okładzinom ściennym i malowidłom ściennym zamek jest jedną z najlepiej zachowanych renesansowych rezydencji w regionie alpejskim.
Zamek Velturno został zbudowany w XVI wieku jako letnia rezydencja dla księcia biskupa Bressanone. Na przestrzeni wieków właściciele często się zmieniali. W 1978 roku zamek stał się własnością Prowincji Południowego Tyrolu i został starannie odrestaurowany.
Artystycznie urządzone pokoje
Zwiedzających zachwycają bardzo dobrze zachowane malowidła ścienne i boazerie. Pokój książęcy i kaplica św. Katarzyny, pokój kapelana i sypialnia księcia biskupa pozostawiają niezatarte wrażenie.
