Homecoming of cattle in Terenten

The traditional homecoming of livestock in Terenten is a part of the event series called “’s Terner Schmelzpfandl”. In autumn cows, calves, goats and other animals are solemnly decorated when they come home in their warm cots.
Down into the valley, the inhabitants of Terenten welcome dairy farmers and shepherds with a big festival.
The entertainment program starts already in the morning with traditional music, a farmers' market and tasty dishes of the rural, autumnal cuisine.
At about 2 pm, a pageant with cows and sheep goes through the village.
