Embedded in the magnificent mountain landscape of Ulten Valley, the Kreativ Hotel Landhaus Schweigl***S in St. Walburg is a secret tip for all those who are searching for tranquillity and relaxation. In the pine wood wellness oasis with Finnish sauna, bio sauna, infrared cabin, steam bath, Kneipp shower and panoramic relaxation room, you can do something good for your soul. Enjoy a relaxing massage or the soothing warmth of our heated whirlpool in the garden. From May until October, you will also look forward to our saltwater outdoor pool with sunbathing lawn.

Our kitchen team will pamper you with homemade delicacies from the Alpine, Mediterranean and vegetarian cuisine. Your little ones will look forward to the well-equipped playroom in the Hotel Schweigl and to the numerous bikes for kids, tractors or scooters. For the teenagers, there is a Teenie-Club with video games and a chill-lounge.

Nature & Sport

In summer, you can recharge your batteries doing a variety of mountain and cycling tours in the Schwemmalm hiking area and at Stilfserjoch National Park in the surroundings of our Kreativ Hotel Landhaus Schweigl. The nearly untouched nature idyll in Ulten Valley is ideal for recharging your batteries and for forgetting about your daily issues. In winter, you will look forward to the fantastic slopes of Schwemmalm skiing area, winter hiking paths, cross-country ski runs and toboggan runs. Our guests will also get the UltentalCard: This advantage card gives you free travel on regional public transport throughout South Tyrol, one free ascent and descent a day on the Schwemmalm cable car and Breiteben Chairlift, free entry to the climbing hall, ice rink and more in Ultental Valley

Hotel Schweigl in South Tyrol – Highly Recommended We spent nine wonderful days at the Hotel Schweigl and were delighted from the start. The host family impresses with warm, unobtrusive hospitality and service that truly leaves nothing to be desired. The cuisine deserves special mention: The breakfast buffet is varied and lovingly prepared – my highlight was the apricot croissants, along with many small delicacies that made the start to the day perfect. In the evening, a varied menu awaited us, complemented by a generous cheese and salad buffet. The food was always fresh, delicious, and creatively prepared. The accommodation itself also left nothing to be desired: Our room was spotlessly clean and very well-maintained. The spa area, although small, is nice – always clean, with plenty of loungers, towels, and a stunning view of the mountains. The heated swimming pool, which was open until the beginning of October, offered the opportunity to relax and swim laps while enjoying the panorama. One thing we missed was the massage offer – a small wish that would have made our holiday even more perfect. We particularly appreciated the central yet very quiet location in the village of St. Walburg. The bus stop and the village center are only two minutes away, so we didn't need the car for the entire nine days, as we made extensive use of the Ulten Card. Although there was a construction site behind the hotel during our stay, it wasn't a problem at all – you hardly heard anything, as work was only taking place during peak hours. We felt at home in every respect, and our minor requests and suggestions were always accommodated. We would come back anytime. For us, this hotel is a clear 5-star recommendation!

We stayed at the Hotel Schweigl for almost a week with half board. The hotel is quiet but very centrally located (the bus stop is just 5 minutes away, so you can definitely leave the car behind while hiking). The food, which is offered as a rich breakfast buffet in the morning and as a 3-course dinner with a choice of dishes, is varied and delicious. It's complemented by a large salad, appetizer, and cheese buffet (effectively 6 courses, if you can manage that). The hotel is very clean, and the service is always attentive and friendly. The heated saltwater pool was a great place to take a dip after long hikes, and the wellness area has a beautiful relaxation area with glass walls overlooking the garden and a view of the mountains. We would gladly return.

Highly recommended hotel, both for its location and for its tranquility. Rene is attentive to your every little need, with his wife they make a great team. Quality cuisine, never banal and with an excellent buffet. Hotel equipped with sauna, hot tub and swimming pool (great after a nice walk). I highly recommend going there if you pass by Val d'Ultimo.

We had a wonderful few days there. The service was excellent. The hotel was spotlessly clean. The saltwater pool surrounded by mountains was a highlight. For colder days, there's a whirlpool and a lovely spa with everything you could need. We loved the half-board option. Great breakfast with everything (scrambled eggs with bacon were delicious) and a varied menu that everyone enjoyed. We booked a wine tasting and learned a lot. Please, René and the team, keep up the good work! We arrived as strangers, but left as friends. We'd love to come back.

Absolutely fantastic stay at Hotel Kreativ Hotel Landhaus Schweigl in Südtirol! From the moment we arrived, Marina and René made us feel completely at home with their warm and genuine hospitality. The comfort throughout the hotel is exceptional — everything is perfectly thought out to help you relax and enjoy. The spa area is a true highlight: unwind in the sauna, then head to the relaxation room where breathtaking views of the mountains instantly put you at ease. The saltwater pool is a dream — peaceful for a swim or just to float and unwind — and the jacuzzi adds that extra bit of luxury. Evenings are a treat with dinners that are truly to die for: beautifully prepared, bursting with flavour, and presented with care. The quality and attention to detail are second to none. If you’re looking for a place to disconnect, recharge, and be genuinely cared for, you can’t go wrong here. We’ll definitely be back soon!
