Dzielna dziewczyna zasłynęła podczas bitwy pod Sp ingą w 1797 roku, kiedy to wieśniaczka walczyła przeciwko armii Napoleona z widłami w ręku wraz z tyrolskimi strzelcami i mieszkańcami doliny Wipptal. Do dziś upamiętnia ją pomnik bohatera w Spinga.
